    It's been awhile
So I haven't posted here in forever...I know...bad me. I figured "it's not like anybody reads this anyways".

    Ummm...yeah. How's everyone doing?

The Ball knocks over the Pins
Another "Seattle Landmark" going down because the "The land just got too valuable". My favorite place to bowl every Thursday will be going away this coming March. Leilani Lanes has been sold so that it can be replaced by apartment buildings. So if you're up for bowling, I recommend going there at least once before it gets torn down :( You can read the Seattle Times article here

    Returning to the Motherland
It's definitely been a while since I've posted (I'm sure nobody missed me) but I have some pretty big news.

I'll be travelling back to Hong Kong this October. It's been almost 12 years since I've been back or seen anyone family from there so I don't know what to expect or how I should act when I'm back there. The whole thing seems very awkward just to think about. I'm thinking of some scenarios already and I have no idea how to act (I'm such a drama queen). So I guess my question to you guys is: Have you ever left somewhere you've lived for a while and then went back 10 years or so later? What's it like? Did you enjoy it? Would you even go back?

I guess I'm also worried because there's a small chance I'll see my dad there. I haven't seen or heard from that man for almost 15 year. To be honest I hope I don't see him at all cause it would just confuse the shit out of me. Do I still call him Dad?

Oh well I'll try to update you guys on my situation as the day gets closer. For now, I'll just carry on as usual.

You can find me in the Club...
Yeah Dinh and I actually went out and did something a few weekends ago!

We got invited to a some sorta special club thing with a friend of ours and reluctantly we went, but we had fun. I haven't been to a club since I was like 18 so this was different considering there was alcohol there. I didn't dance too much but when I did I danced with Dinh (cause dancing with other girls is bad :) ). The rest of the time we were watching our friends get hammered and get shot down by the few hot looking girls that were there. We spent the whole night passing on the nick name "Shallow Hal" from one girl to the next. I know it's mean to judge people from the outside but when you're in a club that's all you really have to go off of.

All in all the experience was fun. I convinced most of my drunk friends to buy me drinks so I didn't have to spend too much and they all make more than me so...eh (To say that they pull in more rice than me would be so Asian but hey, it's true).

I also saw Jason there, he looked busy so I just stopped in and said "hi" then he got back to work making the music boom.

That's all I got for now. I ACTUALLY have work to do today so I'd better go do it.

    Chang--out!

    War of the Worlds
So I saw War of the Worlds this weekend (yeah I actually managed to get off my fat ass and do something). I haven't seen the original movie nor have I read the book. But here's my modest review of the movie:

First of all, I thought that there were some inconsistencies in terms of the theory of EMP. Apparently, EMP can take out all electrical devices no matter how big or small. Unless of course if that device is a camera. Camcorders and disposable cameras (with flash) work just great when your friendly neighborhood EMP wave decide to hit. So keep that in mind next time aliens try to invade your hood.

On with the story. The plot to this film was hmmm...alright I guess. It wasn't deep or anything but the whole idea of being observed since creation was interesting. I thought that the ending left you with more to desire. Don't know if the story was written that way or if it was just Speilberg. Anyone read the book?

Finally, I'll address the issue of acting. Dakota Fanning was pretty good at playing a young girl, but then again she is a young girl so it's not like she had to study too hard. Tom Cruise sucked as an actor because he couldn't convince me that he was Ray Ferrier the lead character instead of Tom Cruise: Scientologist Prick playing Ray Ferrier. Nice narration by Morgan Freeman BTW.

BTW, I only remember seeing 2 asians in the whole movie. There were entirely too many white people ^_^

That's all for now. I felt obligated to write something since I haven't posted anything in a while. Sorry if this was a waste of your time.

    Another Weekend
I just read Kate's Latest Journal Entry and realized that I never plan to do things on the weekend. As a result I'm always just sitting around the house or at my girlfriend's parent's house watching TV or gaming. Mind you I love to game but sometimes even I think it's a little too excessive (I never thought I'd actually say that). God I'm boring.

Maybe I'll plan to do something this weekend but I doubt it. I'm lazy :-D

    First Post!!!
    Wassup Folks,
Up until last night, I never really thought about having a LiveJournal account and actually posting my thoughts to the public. As of right now, I'm still struggling with the fact that I'm doing this. It's not in my nature, so it's kind of uncomfortable but at the same time relaxing.

So the real reason I decided to do this was because last night I had a dream. I'm not too sure WTF the dream was about but I everyone I knew who had an LJ account was in the dream. All I remembered feeling was that I felt left out. I took that as a sign to create this account.

What's funny is that it took me all day to figure out what the account name was going to be. After some thought the name "Fortune Cookie" came to mind but I wanted to spell it a little different cause I'm a nerd.

Well, that's it for now folks. Gotta get back to work.
